Mission Agency Purpose Statement:
New Tribes Mission specializes in reaching people groups around the world that have not had the chance of a Gospel witness. They translate the Bible into the language of the people and plant indigenous, self-supporting, self-propagating New Testament churches.
Ministry Description:

Gary currently serves as Aviation Operations Manager, coordinating pilots, planes, and helicopters to serve the needs and movements of mission personnel and supplies. The purpose is to facilitate mission personnel placement and needs. Much like his former position at the mission store, Gary plans to develop the aviation staff (many of whom are nationals) spiritually through discipleship, and to develop the ministry in organization and effectiveness to the point of indigination. He is also heavily involved in local community church planting, discipleship and Bible Study. Gary’s daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Mark Woodard, are missionaries in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Annie currently serves as the Receptionist/Secretary for our two-doctor mission medical clinic. The facility serves not only our missionaries, but also many local national people.

Prayer Requests:
  • Pray that God would continue to encourage the discipled ones and give them strength and bold witness as they spread out in His name.
  • Pray for local Christian leaders and lay people as they continue to minister to the many that God has saved recently.
  • Pray for the two local churches in different language groups. One is developing into a great conference center, and it looks like God is doing a similar work with the other one.
  • Pray for our family and our growing, graduating, marrying kids and each of their ministries.
  • For our grandson Brandt, who underwent successful brain tumor surgery. He is back in Papua New Guinea with his parents and is still on anti-convulcent medicine.
