Overview
Family Pastor. Husbands, dads, that's you! The Lord has given husbands and fathers the responsibility of being the "Family Pastor." As the spiritual leader of the household, husbands and fathers are to provide instruction for their own family rather than delegating that responsibility to the local church. The church's role is to train, encourage and supplement spiritual leadership at home. The Family Pastor Ministry exists to encourage men, as husbands and fathers, to lead their families in the word (Ephesians 5:25-26, 6:4); to be husbands and fathers responding to God's command of spiritual leadership. Through the year we meet for informal times of teaching and encouragement (much as we would meet informally in our family devotion times) in order to encourage men to act on or continue in the responsibility of family spiritual leadership.
