Leading our Students toward Gospel Progress
Anyone in Junior High, Senior High, or College, is considered a part of the CBC Student Ministry. Or, as it is commonly known around here, The Vine. Even though all three of those age groups are under the same umbrella, the actual realization of those ministries is very different. You can see some of those details below.
What doesn't change between the ministries is their purpose. The leaders of The Vine desire and strive to come alongside parents, not replace them. Our hope is that parents are discipling their kids and pointing them to Christ, and that we can supplement that effort. We are praying together that our young people may be saved, sanctified, and serving Christ in the church.
Ministry leaders of The Vine carry out this purpose through the accurate and practical teaching of God’s Word on Sunday mornings, by cultivating relationships with students through small groups and one-on-one discipleship, and through age appropriate fun activities, such as summer and winter camps. Our hope is that all of these activities will facilitate and foster loving relationships between staff and students.
Students in Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th meet Sunday mornings in Room 5. This is a service where students fellowship, worship God in song and hear God's word preached. Come back on Sunday evenings for Small Groups. Meet in Room 5.
During the summer, Junior High students get to cool off in the pool during Splash. Splash is an event unique to this group and includes Bible study, discussion, swimming, snacks and fellowship.
Every year the Junior High students trek into the mountains for a few days of Summer Camp, typically in June. For many students this is their first time away from home. We partner with other churches for a combined camp filled with fellowship, worshipping God in song, hearing God's Word preached, and enjoying crazy camp games. Staff and students have the opportunity to get to know one another better through small groups and one-on-one discipleship times.

Students in Grades 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th meet Sunday mornings in Room 6. This is a service where students fellowship, worship God in song and hear God's word preached.
Students are invited to come on Wednesday evenings to Room 6 for Bible Study and Small Group discussion.
Summer Bible Study
During the summer, students meet in host homes off campus for Bible Study and fellowship.
Students look forward to the annual summer camp each year with great speakers, competitive and fun games, quality one-on-one time and small group time. This year's camp is called EQUIP Camp.

This group is designed for young adults in their college "season" of life, whether in school or not. Young adults in the 18-25 year-old range are encouraged to build relationships, pursue Christ and Christian living, and embrace adult responsibilities. Our regularly scheduled meeting times are on Sunday mornings and Friday nights, in addition to special events and fellowship opportunities.
Please join us at 10:45am in Room 4 in our Fellowship Group called "Common Ground." We are currently studying the book of Romans, led by our College Director, Tim Townsend. Additionally, we take time to share and lift up prayer requests with one another. We would love to see you there!
Please join us at 7:30pm in Room 5 for singing, fellowship, prayer, and learning about the attributes of God. This is a great time to get to know those in your age group a little better, and develop lasting relationships.
Each summer and winter, our group goes on a weekend getaway for a great time of fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Check the church website event calendar or College Group Facebook page for upcoming information.
