The Lord plucked me out of the clutches of sin and death in 1982. By confessing with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believing in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I was saved. God loves me no matter what. Romans 10:9 was a crucial verse that many shared with me, including my persistent loving girlfriend and soon to be wife.
If you want to know a little bit more about me, I enjoy Christian metal. I know thats weird, but I grew up in the 80s. I snow ski and love being outdoors, enjoying Gods creation. When I go camping in the Sierras with my family I always say, "I want to see a rock, a tree, a stream and a chipmunk, then I'm good."
My family and I came to Calvary Bible Church in 2002 after 20 plus years at another church. We loved the rock solid teaching from both the pulpit and Sunday schools (what we now call Fellowship Groups), and God's people loved us unconditionally. Instantly, we knew that this was the place we needed to be.
Serving Christ has been my life since early adulthood. To be used by God is truly amazing, especially considering what my life was in the past. My desire is to live like Christ and see all His church (the body) learn and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, as the verse says, "To live is Christ to die is gain"(Philippians 1:21).
