Calvary Bible Church is home to me because this is where God has grown me up spiritually. I was saved here, I have served here, I have built relationships here and I am currently sharing in sweet fellowship with my spiritual brothers and sisters here.
I served as the Children’s Pastor at CBC from October 1997 – September 2020). In 2020, I retired so as to be more freed up to serve and care for my family. I am blessed to have a beautiful wife (Cristina), 3 wonderful adult children (Jordan, Abby, and Joel) and a loving mother that has been living with us since 2012. I am currently an Elder at CBC and consider it a great privilege and joy to serve this body of believers.
I serve first and foremost because that’s the example that Jesus has set for each of us (John 13:1-17). I serve in the capacity that I serve in because I love this body and I desire to see the people here grow in their love and obedience to God. From a very early time on in my salvation, God has given me a desire to serve and while I certainly get the fact that He does not need me to serve, I am thankful for the privilege that I have been given to serve.
My prayer for Calvary is found in Ephesians 3:16-19 – “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”
My favorite football team is the USC Trojans – FIGHT ON!!
