I was raised in a Christian home and grew up very involved in Children's Church, hearing all the Bible stories and memorizing Scripture. But it wasn't until Junior High that I head the Gospel message clearly.
In 1975, I started coming to Calvary Bible Church. I joined the youth programs, met my wife in Junior High, and have raised three lovely daughters in their church. Now we have twelve awesome grandchildren! If I have free time, you can find me playing golf—that is if I'm not at church or with the grandkids.
I love that Jesus Christ is exalted in all we say and do, here at Calvary, that we practice expository preaching, the family atmosphere of fellow believers, and plenty of opportunities to serve the Body at Calvary and the communities around us. That is why Calvary is Home for me.
God has made it clear that we are to employ the gifts He has given us to the benefit of the local body. But beyond just obedience, I love helping others. Over my 45+ years at Calvary I have been able to serve in all areas of ministry here which has made me love this church all the more.
My Prayer for Calvary is that we exalt Christ in all we say and do! And that we continue to make disciples in fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20)!
