Wise Counsel: Applying Ancient Truth to a Modern World

David Powlison once called biblical counseling, “Wise love in action.” But how can we tell if our care is as wise and loving as Christ intends it to be? When we minister the Word of God without the loving wisdom of God guiding our steps, the counsel we offer can be trite, wooden, and disconnected from the person’s lived experience. However, when godly wisdom informs our approach to compassionate care, people feel seen, heard, and loved in Christlike ways.

Join us as we learn what it looks like to have our counsel shaped by God’s wisdom and how this impacts our approach to ministry priorities in Gospel care.
