Mission Agency Purpose Statement:

Navigators exists to advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. Our motto remains "To Know Christ and Make Him Known."

Ministry Description:
Don continues to minister with the team on the campus of Cal-State Long Beach, with ministry including prayer, outreach, small group Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, ministry team development, weekly large group meetings, as well as regional and national conferences and regional and international summer training programs. In addition, Don has a growing role on their regional leadership team with a focus of shepherding younger staff on other campuses. Their region includes California, Arizona, Hawaii and Utah, and has grown to nearly 100 staff. Kathy has joined in this shepherding role.
Prayer Requests:
  • Pray that we would abide in Christ. Pray for effective, lasting ministry that flows from our union with Him (John 15:4,5 & 16).
  • God is drawing students to Christ on some of our campuses like I have never seen before in my over 40 years involved with Navigator's campus ministry (for instance, at USC, 40-50 have made professions of faith already this school year)! Pray these new believers would grow strong in the Lord (Col. 2:6-7).
  • We have 3 student conferences coming up in October--one in NoCal, two in SoCal; we had to split because we outgrew our conference facility, which maxes out at 500. Pray that God uses these conferences to draw some to Christ, and that many others would be strengthened and develop in their in life-transforming ways, and that others would sense His call to be lifetime laborers in His harvest, wherever God leads them after they graduate (Matt. 9:36-38).
  • With all the exciting things going on, pray for God's strengthening and protection from the enemy of our souls (II Thess. 3:3-4).
